I enjoyed your review on the 400. Unfortunate that it is an oddball in terms of classes. Did you hold back knowing it was just a rental?

Rental with no insurance plus slightly damp track so I absolutely pulled it back a bit. In practice I was turning 25s without really pushing, in the race I think I was turning 29s. Looking at sales and grid trends, if LRRS follows the national scene I think LW is going to shrink, the wee bikes are going to grow and eventually the class structure will shift to match at which point 400 and similar machines will have more places to play.

Boo, hiss. I like my lightweight, and I’m probably too big for a small bike. Damn those sales trends!

Yup... y'all have fun in that there meatgrinder, I'll be playing in the more gentlemenly classes with 600 like HWSS, or maybe even Formula 40?

In all seriousness... I'm liking my 600 far more than I ever thought I would. What is WRONG with me? I used to have standards like 'the only good four cylinder is a V4' and 'torque is fun'... Now I've got two turbo hairdriers in my garage?!
