    Default Grip Heaters

    This morning was uncomfortable.

What are you guys using and where did you procure them?

    Thanks!

Oxford heated grips + Held Cold Champ gloves kept me pretty comfortable this morning.

Heated gloves would probably do the job much better, though.

My FZ6 I used Symtec ones, the heating elements you stick onto the bars. Worked well, they have a separate high and low circuit. They were about $45

My DR I think I have the Trackside cycle gear heating element ones - these use a resistor for the low heat setting, think these were $20.

My Tiger has the OEM heated grips, but if I was starting from scratch on a somewhat Nice bike, I would go with the Koso Apollo ones. These have the controls on the left grip so there’s no external box like the Oxfords and don’t have to mount a switch anywhere.

I also have heated gloves, but it’s a bit more of a hassle to use then, getting everything connected, etc.
Heated grips are always there, so it’s easy to just flip them on for a cooler morning without needing a second pair of gloves.

I did heated grips. Then I went heated gloves and there is no comparison. Do it once and do it right.

I have Firstgear Carbon heated gloves. They’re pretty warm even without the heat on. They are noticeably bulkier though, like all winter gloves. Heated gloves are needed for serious winter riding or for longer rides below 45 degrees or so.

Heated grips are best for the spring/fall days when it’s 45 in the morning and 70 in the afternoon and you don’t want to bring 2 pairs of gloves with you. They’re cheap enough that I’ll put them on every bike I own.

    Pretty much what raby said.

although the grips and gloves is the shit. but it will probably smoke your elec system on the duc.

heated grips make your palms sweaty, heated gloves leave you with cold palms.

if your looking for bang for buck, i would recommend the cycle gear ones, they tap into the battery with out fuss. if you want to be really special get the heated jacket that goes with it, because running the wires down an existing jacket are a pain in the dick

First gear gloves have heaters in the palm.
